Learner Opportunities

The pedagogical strategy of this qualification is based primarily on an e-learning approach: virtual learning via an e-learning platform and Open Educational Resource, which provides maximum opportunity for flexible self-study. Self-study materials consist of theory, practical tasks and case study learning tools.

  • E-learning: a rich and dynamic multimedia environment that meets wide ranging learning needs.
  • Case Studies: presenting specific activities, events and/or problems drawn from real-world experiences of professional practice.
  • Self Study: dedicating time to knowledge and competency development without assistance of a teacher or tutor.
  • Peer Learning: practical interaction between students/learners to achieve/attain learning goals.

Each module offers a range of exercises, case studies and assessments and completion of these gives the learner the opportunity to benefit from:

Learner Profile 1: VET Trainers

  • knowledge transfer on WBL/Apprenticeships from pioneer countries
  • enhanced capability to identify and design creative and responsive teaching methodologies
  • the use of digital and innovative technologies for innovative learning
  • an improved understanding of how to establish WBL/Apprenticeship structures for their students
  • have existing skills, knowledge and experience recognized
  • achieve an EU-wide recognized Level 5 qualification

Learner Profile 2: In-Company Mentors

  • knowledge transfer on WBL/Apprenticeships from pioneer countries
  • an improved understanding of how to establish WBL/Apprenticeship structures for their mentees
  • an opportunity to participate in interdisciplinary working groups, study visits, as well as future staff exchanges and mobility
  • an opportunity to participate in networks
  • have existing skills, knowledge and experience recognized
  • achieve an EU-wide recognized Level 5 qualification
