About us and our role regarding your personal information

The project “VET: Business Cooperation Structures in the IT Sector - VETIT” is approved in the European Framework of Erasmus+ / KA3 – Support for Policy Reform. The aim of VETIT project is the enhancement of VET-business partnerships on work-based learning and apprenticeships in the ICT sector in the regional context of Attica, Greece, and the local context of wider London, UK, through the transfer of related know-how from the UK and Denmark, thus addressing directly the main aim of the Call.

The VETIT project provides concrete evidence for policy reform, through both formal and informal networks, following a bottom-up approach. Policy-makers as well as VET professionals, sector-specific representatives, ICT SMEs, VET students and other stakeholders are directly involved in the project implementation since its initiation through the activities foreseen. The VETIT project will act as a ‘‘policy ambassador-entrepreneur”, through the interaction of officials in local and regional levels and the spread of ideas, skills and information.

VETIT Matchmaking Tool aims at matching each trainee with the appropriate company’s position. The interface of the Tool will provide the user with the option to enter it as Looking for WBL or APPRENTICESHIP (for VET students/learners) or as Offering WBL/APPRENTICESHIP (for companies).

The VETIT project, as the operator of this website, is acting as a controller regarding the personal information you are providing through the Matchmaking Tool. We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We always treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the data protection regulations and this data protection declaration.

  • Personal information (Name, Surname, Photo, Year of birth)
  • Location information (Name of his/her location i.e. town and actual coordinates - actual location via coordinates in a map will be utilized in the matching algorithm to provide results depending on the desired distance that a candidate is willing to cover- of his/her location)
  • Communication information (Preferred email address and phone number)
  • Educational information (Educational institution, Grade/Level/Year)
  • WBL/APPRENTICESHIP Information:
    • Option of candidate’s application, i.e. if he/she wants to apply in WBL or APPRENTICESHIP positions or for both
    • Preferred duration of WBL/APPRENTICESHIP practice period
    • Starting date that he/she is available for commitment
  • Skills information in three different perspectives:
    • Skills/Topics looking for via WBL/APPRENTICESHIP
    • Knowledge/skills/competences to be gained through the WBL/APPRENTISHIP
    • Currently possessing Skills/Qualifications

If you are a company, the following information is processed by us:

  • Company information (Title and website)
  • Location information (Name of company’s i.e. town and actual coordinates of company’s location)
  • Available VET positions within company with details, as follows:
    • Title of position
    • Position’s direction (WBL or APPRENTICESHIP or both)
    • Tasks and responsibilities
    • Post supervisor (role – not name)
    • Candidate studies year required
    • Desired duration of WBL/APPRENTICESHIP
    • Starting date of the specific position
    • A list of previous knowledge/skills required
    • A list of knowledge/skills/competences to be gained through the WBL/APPRENTICESHIP

Which are the possible recipients of your personal information

The information provided to us by you will be stored in the main information system and will be kept in a need to know basis.

Access to the data may be provided to authorized personnel of each partner of the VETIT project, to the European Union (staff relevant to the European Projects ERASMUS+), to the national authorities of each country (should need arise), to mailchimp (that manages the mail campaigns), to the website administrator, to the platform support company and the platform and infrastructure host.

In case, it is necessary for your information to be shared with others, we will inform you accordingly.
